The Business Strategy & Analytics Trainee will support and develop the Business Analytics capabilities of the Atlanta Braves. The candidate can expect to gain a wealth of experience with analytic processes, data wrangling, and business operations over the course of the program.

The Business Strategy & Analytics department sits at the intersection of business strategy, data, and technology. We are responsible for predictive analytics, revenue stream maximization, business intelligence, and quantitative functions related to business strategy.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Participate in review and analysis of business unit requirements.
  • Organize and populate the daily, weekly, and monthly analytics reporting on actuals vs projections
  • Design, develop and test frontend web applications built atop of R/Python.
  • Synthesize data to evaluate business performance
  • Develop business logic to support different business units.
  • Analyzing and resolving technical problems
  • Providing updates to business unit key stakeholders regarding trends
  • All other duties as assigned

TRAINEE PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:

  • College graduate, Bachelor's or Master's, with a GPA of at least 3.0 at graduation
  • Ability to work effectively and relate well with individuals of diverse backgrounds and within all levels of the company
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Customer service oriented
  • Excellent executive presence
  • Ability to work long hours, weekends, and holidays

ADDITIONAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in CS, MIS, CIS, or related field highly preferred
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Must successfully complete a criminal and credit background check
  • Solid understanding of relational database design and querying concepts preferred
  • Experience with R or Python programming languages preferred
