Position Overview:

The AV Systems Engineer will play a key role in Technology Services by supporting and providing day-to-day operational support for the AV platform for internal users at Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta. The successful candidate will have strong experience in troubleshooting and resolving issues across different platforms. The ability to work independently and maintain relationships will be critical to the success of this role. The AV Systems Engineer works with the Senior Display Engineer as well as team members to define business requirements, achieve key performance indicators (KPI’s), and to identify and resolve technical platform issues.

Major responsibilities:

 

AV platform

  • Daily management and maintenance tasks for the AV platform, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues

  • Manage projects specific to the operation and technical maintenance of all Audio/Video, Data, LED, Content Management System (CMS) and related systems at Truist Park

  • Manage and execute the installation, configuration and bench repair of sophisticated, state of the art, audio, video, data and control systems

  • Engage platform vendor on feature/functionality enhancements as well as operational issues to deliver operational excellence

Special Events AV Technology

  • Provide technical support for other AV areas, including conference center, Ballpark Club areas, and other special events throughout the property

  • Work with technology platform vendors on feature/functionality enhancements as well as operational issues

  • Support content management process with Braves stakeholders (ex. Special Events, ipTV, and BravesVision) and Comcast coordination

Conference Room AV Technology

  • Daily administrative tasks for conference room AV technology including troubleshooting hardware and software issues

  • Work with technology platform vendors on feature/functionality enhancements as well as operational issues

     

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher or relevant technical experience

    5-10 years field experience in LED and CMS and/or video display and troubleshooting skills and maintenance

    3-5 years experience with digital television systems in broadcast television maintenance or installation/system design.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of broadcast related test equipment including, but not limited to, waveform monitors, vectorscopes, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, test signal generators, spectrum analyzers, etc.

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and occasional holidays in all types of weather conditions.

  • Must be able to climb ladders, lift items over 50 pounds

  • Customer first, service-oriented mindset

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

     

Preferred qualifications:

  • Production experience with live entertainment programming

  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects

  • Basic understanding of Networking (IP and MAC addressing) and Systems

  • Technical certifications in audio, video, networking, systems, or security

  • Experience with conference room technology platforms
