Description:
The Athletics are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Manager, Talent Acquisition to support the continued growth of our organization as we prepare for the opening of our new ballpark in Las Vegas.
This role will play a critical part in building the team that will bring our future stadium experience to life. The ideal candidate is passionate about sports, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys building relationships with candidates, community partners, and internal stakeholders.
Initially, this role will focus on supporting full-cycle recruitment across a variety of business functions, with an emphasis on attracting top talent, developing candidate pipelines, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience. As the organization continues to grow and approaches ballpark opening, this role will have the opportunity to expand into learning and development, workforce planning, and game day stadium operations, including supporting the recruitment, onboarding, and coordination of part-time event staff.

Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer process.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand position needs, develop recruiting strategies, and identify qualified candidates.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines across a variety of functions, including corporate departments and future stadium roles.
- Partner with the SVP, People Operations, and internal stakeholders to support the organized labor workforce, including hiring and compensation alignment.
- Utilize creative sourcing strategies, including LinkedIn, job boards, community partnerships, networking, and industry relationships.
- Conduct candidate outreach and serve as a brand ambassador for the Athletics throughout the recruiting process.
- Ensure a consistent, inclusive, and positive candidate experience from initial contact through onboarding.
- Collaborate with Senior Coordinator, Talent Acquisition and greater People Operations team to maintain accurate candidate records and recruiting activity within the applicant tracking system.
- Assist with developing recruitment strategies for large-scale staffing needs, including game day operations, guest services, hospitality, security, and event operations.
- Assist with planning and execution of hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach efforts to build awareness of Athletics employment opportunities.
- Develop relationships with local universities, community organizations, workforce development partners, and sports industry organizations.
- Represent the Athletics at career fairs, networking events, and community engagement opportunities.
- Identify opportunities to expand access to diverse talent pipelines.
- Partner with People Operations and business leaders to identify development needs and create training, onboarding, and development opportunities for employees at various stages of their careers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience, including job description development, intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and candidate management in a fast-paced environment; experience in learning and development or related People Operations functions is a strong complement.
- Working knowledge of labor unions, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable labor relations practices.
- Willing and able to work a non-traditional schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Increased on-site presence at the stadium and other organizational facilities, particularly during the season and as the organization prepares for ballpark opening.
- Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems (Greenhouse preferred), LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruiting technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute scalable recruitment strategies for both professional and high-volume hiring, including sourcing, interview coordination, hiring events, and onboarding support.
- Experience recruiting for corporate, part-time, seasonal, or event-based positions, preferably within professional sports, hospitality, entertainment, live events, or other large-scale operations.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners while serving as a trusted talent advisor.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent searches, competing priorities, and shifting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Experience building talent pipelines and fostering community partnerships to support long-term recruiting initiatives.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving organization with changing priorities.
- Passion for professional sports, live entertainment, hospitality, or event operations preferred.
