Racing Legends
The Arizona Diamondbacks are looking for athletic, energetic, and creative individuals to be a part of our game entertainment team as a D-backs Racing Legend. The Legends represent the Arizona Diamondbacks in a professional and entertaining manner to maximize fan experience.
Responsibilities:
- Support and collaborate with the Game Production and Presentation department in the planning and execution of all Arizona Diamondbacks home games, select Arizona Diamondbacks Events & Entertainment (ADEE) events, and a variety of organizational and team-related initiatives across the Arizona community.
- Greet fans, Run the Legends Race on the field, and interact with the crowd while wearing a 25-pound costume for hours at a time.
- Assist in ideation of skits throughout the season.
- Preserve the mascot’s unique character and identity through consistent body language, mannerisms, and professional representation at all times.
- Act as a Racing Legends handler during D-backs home games when scheduled.
- Attend outside appearances as needed by the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Qualifications:
- Takes direction well and works with team to discuss and plan new ideas.
- Individuals must have outstanding communication skills and can work quickly and professionally.
- Knowledge of the game of baseball preferred.
- Athletic background preferred.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Available for at least 70% of Arizona Diamondbacks home games.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s).
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
