Kitchen Supervisor Duties (18+)
- Supervise and assist other kitchen staff within concession (3-5staff per game).
- Set up and operate kitchen equipment.
- Prepare food and beverage products for customers by following recipe guidelines, using proper preparation techniques, and sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure quality of products and accurate preparation of all food items.
- Ensure proper food handling from staff.
- Become educated with all menu items and able to assist guests/staff with questions pertaining to food allergies and sensitivities.
- Adhere to safety standards for staff and guests.
- Clean equipment properly according to correct procedures.
- Ensure a quality appearance of the concession stand at all times; ensure that all work stations and the back of concession and storerooms remain clean.
- Keep the workstation clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked.
- Analyze and resolve all staff issues; defers to managers when necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Cooking experience required (line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook).
- Previous supervisory experience required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate with team members and prepare written stand reports after each event.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Strong time management and organizational skills; able to direct the work activities of several associates simultaneously and plan ahead.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
- Food Handler’s certification is required.
Physical Requirements
- Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching and repetitive motions.
- Ability to remain standing for entire length of shift.
- Ability to perform normal lifting of stock up to 30 pounds.
May be required to work in confined and/or narrow spaces. You must be able to work in a high-pressure environment and have excellent multi-tasking, time-management, and communication skills. You must be a team player and also able to work unsupervised. You must also be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. You must be available for all home games, plus some special events and some prep days.
It would work out to full-time hours, but not 40 hours each and every week – on weeks when the team is home, you would be working every gameday, and the hours would be longer (8-10 hours), but when the team is away, you would only occasional days (and probably only 4-6 hour shifts) with a lot of days completely off.
Must possess your Food Handler's Certification. Compensation is $17-$18 per hour plus tips (minimum $3 extra per hour). Contract starts immediately and concludes mid/late September. Opportunity to return each season, annually.
