The Sioux City Explorers Baseball Club, located in Sioux City, IA, is an MLB Professional Partner League baseball team in the American Association of Professional Baseball. We are seeking individuals looking to jump start their careers in professional sports for our 2026 Front Office Internship. Spend your summer at the ballpark working in multiple different areas and learning all the ways to make the X’s ballpark a fun, safe, affordable, and enjoyable experience. Our internship provides a well-rounded learning experience seeing firsthand the execution of game days in many different departments. 
 
Internship Responsibilities
●       Assist with group sales efforts through prospecting and cold calling
●       Assist in responsibilities for distribution and organization of individual and group tickets
●       Maintain & operate the box office during games and special events
●       Provide excellent customer service including assisting in purchasing tickets and resolving customer issues such as seat relocation, exchanges, and refunds
●       Operate ticket windows prior to gametime
●       Assist in management and reservation of group outings
●       Handle monetary transactions accurately, efficiently, and securely
●       Assist in maintaining accurate records of all contracts
●       Assist/execute on-field promotions between innings
●       Plan & prepare all game day promotions & mascot appearances
●       Assist with all game day operations
  •     Assist with Stadium Operations to include event setup and tear down, ballpark cleanliness, tarp pulls, etc
  •    Learn Press Box functions and assist in various Press Box / Media roles as needed
●       Other duties as assigned
 
Requirements
●       Internship runs May - August/September (can be flexible with class schedules)
●       Will work primarily on game days but additional hours (non-gamedays) may be available throughout the season, if desired
●       Must be receiving class credit for internship
●       Ideal candidate must be able to work most all 50 home games throughout the season and is expected to work an average of 35-40 hours/week (during home game weeks)
●       Typical game day schedule is as follows, but is subject to change:
○       Monday - Friday: 4p - 10p
○       Saturday: 3p - 9p
○       Sunday: 1p - 7p
●       Compensation: $9/hour + commission + college credit
