Job Summary
This position is responsible for the management of Bowlin Stadium, Gordon Center, and Haymarket Park, home of the Lincoln Saltdogs and University of Nebraska. Responsible for delivering and maintaining a superior level of customer service and assuring all facilities are operational and clean for all events, while building effective working relationships with Lincoln Pro Baseball Staff and the University of Nebraska Event Management Staff. This is a confidential employee and must be able to safeguard information that is deemed confidential by the company and management. Must abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following.
Implements sound fiscal and financial management practices, including annual budgeting and oversight related to accounting provided by the NEBCO Corporate Office.
Responsible for managing, recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling of hourly staff on game days and other events hosted at facilities, including all UNL and Lincoln Pro Baseball parking lot events.
Manages and is onsite for all Lincoln Saltdogs and University of Nebraska baseball and softball games and non-baseball events/activities at Haymarket Park and Bowlin Stadium, including events in the parking lots.
Responsible for scheduling and managing outsourced janitorial crew before, during and after all events at Haymarket Park during University of Nebraska, Lincoln Saltdogs games and non-baseball events, including all parking lot events.
Responsible for managing and scheduling tent installations, advertising signage pieces, stadium field pads, pest control, window cleaning and carpet cleaning vendors to ensure the cleanliness of facility for all games and events.
Responsible for completing pre-event walkthroughs to ensure the facility is properly cleaned and ready for each event. Responsible for assuring power washing is completed within Haymarket Park prior to each game and non- baseball event to ensure the facility is properly cleaned for the game/event.
Responsible for the ordering of all janitorial products for the outsourced janitorial crew and submission of invoices to LPB General Manager.
Responsible for minor repairs within the facilities and the scheduling of all electrical and plumbing or building needs throughout the facility as needed to ensure facility is operational for all games and events.
Assists with the setup/breakdown of facility events as needed, including the parking lot.
Attends all LPB and UNL event and facility operations meetings to ensure everyone is knowledgeable of the upcoming facility event schedule and needs/requirements from other departments within the organization
Implements, schedules, and executes the facilities preventative maintenance program for the upkeep of the buildings and grounds, including spring start up and the winterization of facilities and monitoring of the facilities when there is inclement weather.
Assists the LPB General Manager in all business matters related to the facilities.Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Four year degree or professional equivalent in Sports and Facility Management or related program; and
- two years of progressive facility and event management required, preferably in a professional sports environment managing, motivating, and leading a group; or
- an equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Must have a valid NE drivers’ license and be insurable under the company’s insurance program.
Other Qualifications:
- Working computer knowledge on Microsoft Word and Excel software at an intermediate level.
- Experience with Event software preferred.
- Must be able to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands, frequent changes, delays or unexpected events
- Ability to handle multiple projects, concurrently, timely and efficiently.
- Must understand the need for a sense of urgency during certain times of the year.
- Organizational skills required. Must have a high degree of attention to detail.
- Must be able to produce high quality, accurate work while coordinating a sporting venue and schedule.
- Must be skilled in solving problems with good workable solutions.
- Must have strong people skills that are able to motivate staff or a group of people to achieve goals.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic accounting and inventory tracking required.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write business correspondence, instructions, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
