The Gary SouthShore RailCats is seeking a seasonal game day Concession Stand Manager to be a part of the team’s 2026 season. We are currently seeking an experienced food service professional to assist in the everyday operations of our main kitchen. As the Concession Stand Manager, you will get first-hand experience in the day-to-day operation of a professional baseball franchise.
Stand Manager Postion:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Supervise and lead a team of concession stand employees (cashiers, cooks, runners, etc.)
- Oversee stand setup, food prep, and break down before and after events.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and adherence to POS procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all health and safety standards.
- Train and coach team members to uphold high-quality service and operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory, minimize waste, and report supply needs to Food and Beverage Manager.
- Resolve customer service issues quickly and professionally.
- Communicate with upper management and kitchen staff to ensure smooth stand operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in food service, concessions, or retail management strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to stay calm and organized in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the season.
