The Account Executive is responsible for generating revenue through full and partial season tickets, flex packages and group ticket sales. This full-time position will involve close interaction with the River Riders current fan base as well as seeking new fans and groups, acting as a customer service representative and assisting with game day operations.

Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:
  • Primary focus of this position will be on the development and growth of the Ticket Sales and some Corporate Sales.
  • Sell and service a menu of corporate sponsorship opportunities, season tickets, & group sales accounts throughout the Elizabethton community 
  • Take ownership of the overall planning, development, implementation, administration, and budget for the Ticket Sales Department
  • Be aggressive in seeking new business and comfortable with cold calling. Having the ability to set qualified appointments on a weekly basis is also a requirement 
  • Participate as a high functioning member on a team to ensure revenue is maximized for all events through a menu of corporate sponsorship inventory as well as season tickets, groups, and hospitality 
  • Manage client relationships and drive the follow up for future marketing programs e.g., understand clients' business priorities and timelines to proactively set up marketing presentations 
  • Maintain accurate reporting regarding sales, forecasting, activity, and account maintenance
  • Work closely with the General Manager to ensure a high level of communication relative to sales activity, inventory control, contracts, and invoicing 
  • Provide functional leadership of all River Riders baseball events and activities at Northeast Community Credit Union Ballpark and in the Elizabethton community 
  • Join professional associations and attend networking events to gain awareness of our product in the local business community. Many of these networking events and associations meetings will take place before or after normal business hours
  • Collaborate with the General Manager in the development of strategies, promotional plans and initiatives related to the River Riders
  • Lead department to develop and execute external public relations and community relations plans. Be a face of the franchise at community events
  • Represent the Club at various promotional events 
  • Administer superior customer service for all clients year round
  • Send weekly ticket & group sales reports to the General Manager
  • Work includes flexible hours with night and weekend work year round
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Having excellent communication skills and a high level of energy, enthusiasm, and a passion to be successful in the sports industry 
  • Must be a team player, self-starter, aggressive and professional
  • Report and work directly with the General Manager
