The Appalachian League is seeking highly qualified associates to work and support the league's day-to-day media coverage. Content creators will aid in the short-form digital content production of Appy League games, storylines, and other team dynamics. The position’s focus is promoting players and teams within the League. Positions will report to the Director of Digital Media and work closely with other key League personnel. 

Responsibilities:
●  Developing and engaging content across various social media platforms to promote the League, Teams, and players
●  Work closely with MLB to strategize and execute content that aligns with our brand and objective
●  Interview players and coaches
●  Capture unique videos and photos during games for distribution on League and MLB social channels
●  Create engaging content around player storylines
●  Elevate and promote top prospects’ on-field performance
●  Commitment to work on assigned scheduled dates.
●  Follows directions from MLB and the Appy League to understand daily needs, storylines and and prepare special requests from social platforms and marketing and league needs.
●  Generates content primarily for game day but may also create content for marketing promotions and sponsorship activations on social and editorial platforms.
●  Produces content on a nightly basis and edits on tight deadlines.
●  Capture and create content from marquee Appy League events, including All-Star Weekend (July 22-23), League Championship Series (Aug. 1) and Championship Game (Aug. 3)

Qualifications:
●  Knowledge of social media platforms and what content works best on each
●  Proficient understanding of viral content
●  Familiarity with MLB, MLB Draft, and overall baseball storylines
●  Proficiency with computers (Windows, Mac)
●  Editing skills in Adobe Suite or similar platforms is a plus
●  Must bring your own laptop computer
●  Interview experience is a plus
●  Passion for baseball
●  Experience in social media content creation and a portfolio showcasing creativity
●  Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
●  Creative self-starter

Compensation:
●  Stipend to be paid bi-weekly 
●  The role requires availability outside of traditional work hours, including nights, weekends and some holidays 
●  Note: hours / working days are not limited to game days
