SUMMARY
This position shall advise, plan, manage and evaluate all lighting, video, audio, and stage production needs required for use of facility events. Knowledge of production technical equipment, planning and design methods, set-up techniques including change outs, electrical hookups, rigging, staff placement, sound and lighting applications. Equipment inventory, maintenance and planning for additional equipment shall also be the responsibility of this position. Continuous hours of work may be in excess of 40 hours per week and include evenings, weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
1. Responsible for oversight of all technical areas of facility.
2. Coordinate client needs, review event riders.
3. Budget for maintenance, CIP needs.
4. Employ, train, schedule, and oversee the performance of technical crews, part-time staff.
5. Manage / assist with the operation of technical equipment for events.
6. Maintain inventory control, upkeep, storage areas.
7. Must be able to work abbreviated normal office hours plus nights and weekend hours as required.
8. Review, adjust, and approve all technical staff payroll hours.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
9. Maintain or schedule maintenance for all technical equipment needing such care.
10. Compile and maintain records for payroll, personnel scheduling, and event scheduling.
11. Anticipate equipment and other needs for individual events.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee will supervise all technical services personnel, stagehands and any other workers assigned for work in this area. Employee will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Degree in technical theatre or related field is preferred.

3. Knowledge of procedures and requirements of the entertainment business to ensure good relationships with promoters and performers.
4. A basic knowledge of business management practices and procedures.
5. Experience and proficiency working in a computer network environment utilizing Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel.
6. Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
CERTIFICATES / LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS
1. Applicants must possess a current valid driver’s license. Must possess phone with a number that can be accessed by building management personnel for business contact purposes.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
1. Ability to communicate effectively orally and electronically.
2. Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
3. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
4. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
5. Ability to speak and understand English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals applying concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
2. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
3. Ability to apply concepts of math on an Excel spreadsheet, calculator, ten key adding machine, or cash register.
