Bridge View Center and VenuWorks is seeking responsible and dependable individuals who would like to work additional part-time hours setting up, working, and tearing down all of the 400 plus events we host annually. Ability to work independently and an “eye for detail” is needed. Our Operations team members provide a high level of customer service to our clients, guests, and all we serve. This position, using clear and concise communication and teamwork, will assist with setup, logistics, service delivery, and tear-down of assigned events. In conjunction with all Operations & Conversion team members, will work towards maintaining VenuWorks company standards for excellence and customer satisfaction on all our events.
This position reports to our Operations Manager. Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Setting and striking tables and chairs.
- Building event stages.
- Assist in running sound & lights in our BVC Theater.
- Setting the expo hall for a concert and other entertainment events.
- General maintenance of the venue.
- Cleaning and sanitizing all restrooms and dressing rooms before, during, and after events.
- Vacuuming of all carpeted public areas using both walk-behind and riding vacuums.
- Shampooing and cleaning carpet using both walk-behind and riding equipment.
- Maintains work areas in a clean, orderly, and safe manner and cleans up after self.
- Will be flexible when asked to work in other areas as assigned.
This is a part-time position. Pay rate: $12.00 per hour to start but may be adjusted higher based on experience and qualifications. Pay adjusted based on work performance and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.
Applicants should have the ability to perform physical labor and work irregular hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Since our business is event driven, available shifts vary with the requirements of each event. Applicants must be a team player and have a positive attitude. Customer service is a top priority.
