Bridge View Center and VenuWorks is seeking a dependable and talented part-time Cook for our Food & Beverage team to assist with kitchen operations for banquets and events ranging from 10 to 500+ guests, either plated meals or buffet style.
The Cook will report to our Food & Beverage Director | Executive Chef. Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Prepares all foods according to preparation sheets given by the Executive Chef.
• Utilizes stock in a rotating manner, using oldest items first.
• Stores all unused portions or leftovers in cooler, labeling items with date/amount.
• Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly fashion and cleans up after self.
• Assist in proper prepping of food and execution of all events as set forth in the event preparation sheets or BEOs.
• Maintains a clean and organized cooler/freezer and dry goods storage.
• Respects and follows all proper food preparation techniques and food safety handling.
• Adhere to all ServSafe standards.
• Will be flexible when asked to work in other areas as assigned.
This is a part-time position. Pay rate: negotiable, based on experience.
Applicants should have the ability to perform physical labor and work irregular hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Since our business is event driven, available shifts vary with the requirements of each event. Applicants must be a team player and have a positive attitude since you will be dealing with clients and patrons. Customer service is a top priority. Hourly pay based upon work experience and education. Applicant must possess current valid driver's license.
