VenuWorks of Jefferson City Missouri is seeking enthusiastic and responsible Part-Time Bartenders to join our event team. Summary
The Bartender is responsible for the proper and responsible service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to event patrons, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and adherence to all relevant policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Other duties may be assigned.
- Receives and fills drink orders from patrons or servers in a fast-paced environment.
- Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification as necessary, and adheres to all venue and company alcohol service policies and procedures.
- Mixes and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons following standard recipes and using company-standardized proportions.
- Collects payment from patrons for drinks served and makes correct change accurately.
- Completes Daily Bar Sales Reports thoroughly and accurately.
- Maintains bar stock by ordering or requisitioning liquors, beverages, condiments, and supplies.
- Maintains work area in a secure, clean, and organized manner.
- Cleans and stores bar equipment and bar stock.
- Performs opening and closing duties according to established procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Bartending and customer service experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities

- Ability to speak and understand English clearly.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with venue staff and the general public.
- Ability to maintain a calm, composed presence in an often fast-paced environment where multiple tasks, events, and stimuli may occur simultaneously.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to remember previously learned material such as specifics, criteria, techniques, principles, and procedures.
- Ability to identify choices and potential outcomes, determine importance of outcomes, combine information to prioritize options, and make decisions based on the best and most important choice.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Must be able to obtain all State and local required certificates and licenses necessary to serve food and alcohol.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable method of communication for scheduling and urgent contact.
Availability
- Must be available to work primarily nights and weekends, and occasionally holidays, as event schedules dictate.
