Summary
 
The Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center (FCEC) and VenuWorks of Fresno is seeking a skilled Production Manager to oversee and coordinate all technical stage operations across our four-building complex. This role manages all aspects of event production, including audio, lighting, electrics, fly systems, crewing, logistics, and preventive maintenance of stage systems and equipment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, experienced in live event production, and passionate about delivering exceptional experiences for clients and guests.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 
1.    Overseas daily production operations across all FCEC venues, coordinating technical details with clients, event managers, and internal teams. 
 2.    Manages event logistics from load‑in through load‑out, resolves real‑time production challenges, and supports credentialing and guest access. 
 3.    Supervises IATSE Local 158 personnel, ensuring compliance with contracts, safety standards, and operational policies. 
 4.    Additional responsibilities include maintaining production records and budgets, overseeing equipment repairs and inventory, training staff, and supporting departmental projects and special assignments.

 Supervisory Responsibilities
The Production Manager directly supervises technical personnel, union stagehands, and production vendors. This role carries out all supervisory duties in alignment with VenuWorks policies as well as applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; and administering rewards or disciplinary actions in coordination with Human Resources. The Production Manager also addresses employee concerns and resolves workplace issues to support a positive and efficient working environment.

 Education and Experience
1.    Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience in live event production.
2.    Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on production management experience in live events, theatre, concerts, or sports venues.

 Skills and Abilities
1.    Working knowledge of all stage‑related systems, including lighting, sound, rigging, and A/V.
2.    Ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
 Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure.

 Computer Skills
1.    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). 
2.    Preferred: Familiarity with event software like Ungerboeck, VenueOps, or Social Tables.

 Salary Range
$80,000 - $85,000 annually, exempt (commensurate with experience and years of service).

Location:
