Summary
 The Parking Manager oversees all parking operations for the Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center, ensuring safe, efficient, and guest‑focused service during daily operations and events. This position manages parking staff, coordinates traffic flow, develops operational plans for events of all sizes, and collaborates with multiple departments to support overall event success. Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, are required.
 Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 ·        Directs and oversees all parking and traffic control operations for the Fresno Convention Center, Selland Arena, Saroyan Theatre, and Valdez Hall.
·        Develops staffing plans, schedules, and operational workflows for event and non‑event parking.
·        Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates parking staff following VenuWorks policies and procedures.
·         Ensures adherence to all contractual agreements and organizational policies related to parking operations.
·        Creates and implements event‑specific parking and traffic management plans in coordination with Event Services, Security, Operations, and external partners.
·        Monitors parking areas to ensure safety, compliance with ADA requirements, fire lane access, and efficient traffic flow.
·        Oversee the setup, placement, and maintenance of parking equipment, signage, cones, barricades, and lighting.
·        Manages cash handling or digital payment processes, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and proper reconciliation.
·        Responds to and resolves escalated guest concerns or parking issues in a timely and professional manner.
·        Tracks operational costs, assists with budgeting, and identifies opportunities for revenue improvement.
·        Maintains detailed records of staffing, incidents, equipment usage, and event parking outcomes.
·        Coordinates with city officials, transportation partners, and contracted vendors as needed.
·       Leads post‑event evaluations to identify improvements for future events.
·        Performs other duties as assigned.
  Supervisory Responsibilities
 Supervises Parking Attendants and Leads, performing full supervisory functions in 
 accordance with VenuWorks policies, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, assigning work, enforcing policies, and addressing employee concerns in coordination with Human Resources.
 Qualifications

 Education and/or Experience
 ·        High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
·        Minimum three (3) years of experience in parking operations, traffic management, event services, or a related field.
·        Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience required.
·        Experience in a large venue, stadium, arena, or multi‑facility environment is strongly preferred.
·        Prior law enforcement experience preferred, but not required
 Experience and Skills
 ·        Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
·        Ability to manage large teams in fast‑paced event environments.
·         Knowledge of traffic control, parking logistics, ADA compliance, and safety procedures.
·        Experience with cash handling, POS systems, and financial reconciliation.
·        Ability to anticipate operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
·        Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
·        Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
 Computer Skills
 Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and basic reporting tools. Experience with parking management systems or digital payment platforms preferred.
 Salary Range
 
$25.00 - $30.00 Hourly, Non-Exempt

 Working Conditions
 Primarily outdoors across all FCEC venues, with extensive walking, standing, and exposure to varying weather conditions. Must be able to work during large-scale events and manage operations in busy, high‑traffic environments.
 Physical Demands
 Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. Reasonable accommodation may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
