POSITION SUMMARY:
The Staff Accountant will provide general administrative support to the management team assisting with day-to-day tasks and data entry. This in an important role in the organization that will require service, tact, diplomacy, and a professional approach to the job. Confidentiality is critical.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Financial Duties and Responsibilities
- Payroll processing assistance
- Assist with Bank Deposits and Reconciliation
- Collections and Accounts Receivable
- Accounts Payable, Receivable and Journal Entries
- Point of Sale reconciliation
- Prepare monthly Expense Reports
- Assist with preparation of month-end close out
Administrative Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversight and scheduling of Guest Services staff
- Assist with ordering team uniforms, camp T's, employee uniforms and other items as needed
- Maintains record keeping
- Provides administrative support relative to contracts, certificates of insurance, W9 forms, etc.
- Provide excellent customer service to visitors and callers by resolving information requests, directing to the appropriate parties or taking messages
- Perform general office duties, such as order office supplies, maintain database systems, distribute mail
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in accounting, finance, business or related field preferred (or acceptable experience in lieu of degree)
- 1-2 years of related experience
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
- Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience using Quick Books, Dynamics, Tyler Munis (preferred)
- Well organized and thorough with the ability to multi-task
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- Team approach to task completion
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift 20-40 pounds waist high
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend into awkward positions while performing job functions
- Must comply with safety and health code standards
- Facility has intermittent noise
