POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Coordinator will support the team's business writers, market research analysts, and business analysts by conducting comprehensive market research related to existing service providers, demographic/socioeconomic characteristics, sports participation rates, pricing studies, programming/tournament inventories, and more. As part of this support, the Project Coordinator will also assist in the creation of narrative reports and presentations of the market research to communicate findings for internal initiatives and client deliverables. 

Additionally, the Project Coordinator will contribute to the coordination and communication of client projects related to meeting agenda creation, site visits/market tours, stakeholder meetings and follow ups, and other vital services to create excellent client experiences.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Conduct independent market research to collect and analyze key data and information that supports client deliverables and recommendations related to the development of new sports, recreation, events, and entertainment facilities
  • Lead and conduct key stakeholder interviews and surveys to include gathering secondary market data from public sources such as government and university reports, company literature, internet sources, and syndicated data resources
  • Translate detailed research and analytical data into narrative form for market reports, feasibility studies, financial reports, and other technical documents
  • Support client interactions for both private and public projects through in-person meetings, phone calls, and stakeholder interviews
  • Support excellent client experiences through clear and concise communication, efficient scheduling, detailed note taking, meeting and call agenda creation, site visit and market tour coordination, gathering existing data, and other important functions of project coordination
  • Lead internal project tracking to support team resource management and client communication
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in business, finance, management, sport management, writing, or related field
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to speak, write, and listen in a manner that clarifies issues, promotes closure, and delivers information in a clear and concise manner
  • High level of energy with comfort in a fast-paced environment where multiple initiatives are happening simultaneously
  • Excellent computer skills; experienced in Microsoft Office tools and resources, specifically Excel, and including PowerPoint and Word
  • Ability to adapt to and adopt new technologies and tools for analyzing, narrating, and presenting findings
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and applicants must demonstrate an ability to achieve success in a very fast-paced environment
  • Experience in operations at sports, recreation, wellness, or entertainment venue preferred
  • Experience in market research, report, and analysis development, and sprots facility planning forecasting preferred

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds waist high
  • Will be required to sit for extended periods of time operating a computer
  • Office environment has intermittent noise, normal in nature
