MARKETING MANAGER - Hoover Met Complex

POSITION SUMMARY:
SFM is seeking a Venue Marketing Manager to lead marketing efforts for Hoover Met Complex. This role is responsible for driving revenue through structured marketing systems, including demand generation, customer acquisition, and on-site conversion. The ideal candidate understands that marketing is not just promotion it is a core business function responsible for filling programs, driving participation, and building repeat customers. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Revenue & Demand Generation
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies tied directly to program registrations, bookings, and memberships
  • Build seasonal demand plans aligned with programming calendars (camps, leagues, events)
  • Own campaign performance and adjust strategies based on revenue outcomes
Campaign Execution
  • Lead digital and traditional campaigns across:
    • Email marketing
    • Paid media (Meta, Google)
    • Social media and content
  • Manage content creation including ad copy, blogs, and promotional materials
On-Site Conversion & Experience
  • Drive in-venue conversion through:
    • Front desk alignment and scripting
    • QR codes and signage
    • Staff enablement and communication
  • Ensure every program has a clear path from awareness to registration
Performance & Reporting
  • Track and report on key KPIs:
    • Registrations
    • Revenue
    • Cost per acquisition
    • Database growth
  • Provide actionable insights and optimization recommendations
Budget & Vendor Management
  • Manage marketing budget in partnership with the General Manager
  • Coordinate with vendors across print, digital, signage, and web
  • Support sponsorship activation and fulfillment
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Experience executing multi-channel campaigns (email, paid media, social) tied to measurable results
  • Proficiency in design tools (Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite) to create marketing assets independently
  • Hands-on experience with email marketing and CRM platforms (HubSpot, Constant Contact, Mailchimp), including segmentation and campaign execution
  • Basic photography and/or videography skills, including capturing and editing content for digital use
  • Experience managing and optimizing paid media campaigns (Meta, Google)
  • Ability to analyze performance data and optimize campaigns based on results
  • Experience coordinating with vendors (print, signage, web, media buying)
  • Ability to independently plan, launch, and execute marketing initiatives without reliance on external agencies
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, on-site environment where priorities shift and execution speed matters
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing or related field
  • Strong understanding of business fundamentals (budgeting, planning, KPI tracking)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and execute with speed and accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and core marketing tools
