POSITION SUMMARY:
The Food & Beverage Manager will manage all Food & Beverage Team Members in the ice arena and convention center. They will also be responsible for managing all aspects of food & beverage, including concessions and alcohol beverage operations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Oversee daily operations
- Support in hiring process, training and developing of F&B team members
- Open and close concession areas throughout the venue
- Collaborate with Operations and Events Departments to plan and execute food and beverage operations for a variety of events
- Responsible for the efficient setup, operation, and teardown of mobile alcohol beverage stations, ensuring compliance with venue policies, cleanliness standards, and alcohol service regulations
- Budget and monitor weekly food and labor costs
- Monitor sales, inventory and quality control
- Generate daily and monthly financial reports as well as inventory reports
- Manage inventory and order food and beverage supplies as necessary
- Research new food and beverage products
- Create new menu and marketing ideas
- Meet with food vendors and make decisions on products
- Set up vendor accounts and manage supply invoices
- Communicate with sales representatives and suppliers
- Inspect equipment and food deliveries
- Coordinate kitchen equipment installation
- Evaluate health and safety practices
- Record information about inventory and health practices
- Handle customer complaints and suggestions
- Responsible for the sale, marketing, coordination, planning, execution and evaluation of all non-tournament special events
- Manage special event budget
- Ensure all special events have signed contracts, certificates of insurance, and paid deposits prior to arrival
- Complete special projects and daily assignments as assigned by leadership
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, including alcohol beverage management
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must have strong leadership skills
- Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
- Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work under pressure and be decisive
- Ability to motivate team members
- Must be able to work well in a group setting
- Must have strong mathematical skills
- Must be able to work irregular shifts to include nights, weekends, holidays as needed
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- Facility has intermittent noise
