Ballparks of America offers premier sports, recreation, and entertainment destination experiences at two locations in the Branson, Missouri area. At its Branson location, the Ballparks of America experience features five major league replica fields, on-site dormitories for players and coaches, on-site restaurants, arcade, escape rooms, laser tag, batting cages and kiosk-operated pitching machines, a high-end retail experience, and so much more.
Sho-Me Baseball is a new lakeshore baseball destination experience by Ballparks of America that is located at the site of the oldest established baseball school facilities in the country. With four all-grass fields located on a peninsula on the shoes of the world-class Table Rock Lake, the facility offers a one-of-a-kind historic feel to playing America's game. POSITION SUMMARY
The Facility Maintenance Manager will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, professional services, stock control, supply orders, routine custodial, grounds and equipment for the facility, including maintaining the turf of athletic fields, and specific maintenance requirements for each field. The Facility Manager will also ensure a suitable working environment for the organization and provide appropriate reporting, performance measurements, budgeting, and leadership. This role will represent the facility and act as host of all activities.
This individual will have to understand the importance of creating and maintaining a quality "playing field" and surrounding facilities to host a one-of-a-kind player experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Develop relationships with all staff and community users of facilities to enhance the value of potential offerings to maximize utilization and execution of facilities
- Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, assisting in preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions
- Oversee the maintenance of all equipment needed to provide daily upkeep ensuring proper care to maximize life and performance of equipment
- Assign, oversee and assist staff in the completion of grounds and maintenance tasks
- Maintain all facilities grounds including but not limited to fields, parking areas, playing surfaces, trees, shrubbery, and flower beds
- Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility including but not limited to buildings, grounds, fields, team suites, housing, and cafeteria/concessions areas
- Responsible for field set up, maintenance of fields and turf management including by not limited to mowing, trimming, grooming, and repairing of playing surfaces
- Acting host of all camps, clinics, tournaments, and other events
- Coordinate maintenance and repair work
- Inventory, organize, and stock closets, toolboxes and maintenance areas
- Assist with cleaning schedule around daily activities
- Work with contractors as necessary
- Follow all manuals, processes and procedures for housekeeping, operations, guest services and maintenance, and maintain OSHA compliance
- Assist with opening/closing facilities on a daily basis
- Provide essential training to staff for equipment use and inspections
- Assist with field preparations for tournaments and events as required

- Open spaces, walkways, and surrounding buildings
- Interview, hire, train, direct and supervise a team of employees for the purpose of maintaining the sports facilities and other properties
- Sustains rapport with key companies/individuals in the community to can also enjoy services we provide such as a year round "on-site restaurant" that can service the local community
- All other duties and special projects as directed by management
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred
- Working knowledge of sports field construction principles, practices and methods; and a thorough understanding of the sport's governing bodies' requirements for field layout and marking;
- Must have advanced knowledge of commercial facilities inclusive of HVAC, electrical, suppression systems and kitchen equipment
- Must have experience working with synthetic turf sports fields, sports facilities and associated grounds and equipment
- Must have excellent interpersonal, project management and problem-solving skills
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays
- Well organized, efficient, flexible, and able to meet deadlines
- Experience in youth and or recreational sports

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
- Must be able to remain in a sitting stationary position for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions
- Will be required to operate a computer
- Facility has intermittent noise
