POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facility Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, professional services, stock control, supply orders, routine custodial, grounds and equipment for the facility. The Facility Maintenance Coordinator will also ensure a suitable working environment for the organization and provide appropriate performance measurements, and leadership. Additionally, the Facility Maintenance Coordinator will work with the events department on all event related set-ups, teardowns for facility events. This position has a special emphasis on technology, computerized systems, climbing and safety equipment, kitchen equipment, and sporting equipment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Managerial Tasks
- Supervise and schedule maintenance and groundskeeping staff, ensuring adequate coverage and productivity
- Coordinate with department heads to address maintenance needs and minimize disruption to operations
- Manage vendor relationships for contracted services, repairs, and supply orders
- Maintain maintenance logs, inspection records, and safety documentation
- Assist in budgeting and tracking expenses related to facility and grounds upkeep
- All other duties assigned by management
Facility Maintenance
- Perform and oversee repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical systems
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and equipment to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance with regulations
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and orderliness of common areas, restrooms, storage spaces, and staff facilities.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs
- Ensure all systems meet safety and operational standards
Grounds Maintenance
- Supervise and participate in the upkeep of outdoor areas including walkways, parking lots, signage, and recreational spaces
- Ensure landscaping is maintained to a high standard, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and irrigation
- Monitor weather conditions and coordinate snow removal, storm prep, or debris cleanup as needed
- Maintain exterior lighting and signage for proper visibility and functionality
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience in facility or maintenance coordination, preferably in a hospitality, sports, or recreational environment
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Working knowledge of building systems, equipment, tools, and OSHA safety standards
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform hands-on maintenance
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Proficient with maintenance software, work order systems, or Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings, in response to operational needs
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Will be required to lift 50 pounds
- Will be required to work in all weather conditions
- Will be required to paint, clean equipment, and safely handle chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms
- Will be required to work in conditions that will create dirt and dust
- Will be required to perform essential maintenance to facility or equipment which may involve but are not limited to the following activities: semi reaching to full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; shoveling; working in narrow and/or confining spaces: underground, overhead, and at ground level; twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs; and lying on stomach and/or back
