STATUS: FULL-TIME (EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Operations Manager will assist with overall operations of the Aquatic Park focused on programming, staffing, scheduling and concessions. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Assist with scheduling, staff supervision and day-to-day operations of the entire facility
  • Lead and Manage the Aquatic Park 
  • Hire and train staff under the direction of the General Manager
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and other marketing initiatives to increase revenue
  • Record keeping of all logs, files, reports, communications and electronic data
  • Scheduling of parties and rental of facility
  • Aid in Concessions operations
  • Maintains a high standard of cleanliness throughout the facility and surrounding areas
  • Provides effective leadership and direction to the team 
  • Accurately assist members and guests in registering for programs
  • Use POS software efficiently & effectively and maintain strict cash handling procedures
  • Maintain a safe work environment and oversee the use of safety equipment
  • Provides supervision on evenings, weekends, and during special events as needed 
  • Completes other duties as assigned by leadership and/or General Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years experience of management is preferred 
  • Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must have strong leadership skills
  • Must be detail-oriented and have outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast paced environment
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office
  • Be well organized and able to multi-task
  • Willing to take safety and lifeguard training course 
  • Recreation experience is helpful

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds waist high
  • May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work in direct sunlight and be exposed to outside weather conditions
  • The Team Member could be exposed to cleaning chemicals and must be handled with extreme caution
