The Job

S.A.F.E. Management staffs and operates event security and guest services at nearly 70 venues across 11 markets and 10 states. That includes major NFL and college stadiums in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Houston, Nashville, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Tampa, Baltimore, Detroit, Newark, and Denver. On a busy weekend we have 20,000 team members working live events around the country.

The Event Coordinator is a key player in the success of these events. You will help build the staffing plan, brief the team, proactively engage staff during the event, handle event-day operations, and represent S.A.F.E. in front of the client.

This is a hands-on operations role for someone who aspires to grow in the sports & entertainment industry. 

What You'll Do:

Run Events
·       Work directly with clients to gather event details, staffing requirements, and day-of expectations
·       Build and update event-day documentation, post assignments, and staffing plans
·       Monitor venue operations during events to assess staffing levels, coverage, and performance against S.A.F.E. standards
·       Solve day-of problems quickly: call-offs, gate changes, crowd flow, client requests, weather, unique event operations 
·       Brief the team prior to the start of the event and assist with debriefing afterward so the next event runs better

Build the Team
·       Participate in the recruiting process, including sourcing, applicant tracking, and interview scheduling
·       Support critical teammate trainings such as, New Hire, Returning Staff, and Leadership trainings
·       Handle staff questions in real time, on and off site
·       Set the tone on professionalism and accountability that the team follows

Run the Back End
Strong operators are organized operators and this sets the tone for game and event day.
·       Create and schedule events in our workforce management platform
·       Submit and reconcile crew calls accurately in the timekeeping system
·       Invoice completed events promptly and accurately
·       Respond to office calls and emails within a timely manner
·       Maintain clear, organized event documentation so another team member can step in and run the event if needed

Who We're Looking For
·       Bachelor's degree
·       0 to 5 years of experience out of school
·       A track record of competing on a team. Athletics, a campus organization, or an early job where your performance was measured and other people depended on you
·       Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
·       Ability to communicate in front of a crowd and to senior-level leadership
·       Detail oriented, proficient with Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly to pick up new systems
·       Available nights, weekends, and holidays as our schedule follows the entertainment and events calendar
·       Passionate about sports and live entertainment industry

Schedule
Standard office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility required for evening and weekend events, trainings, and interviews. This position reports directly to the respective market’s Managing Director.
