JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for developing new partnerships and driving revenue through those partnerships for the Cleburne Railroaders, located in Cleburne, Texas. The goal of this individual will be to generate revenue by creating integrated marketing partnerships that leverage the equity and assets associated with the Cleburne Railroaders to achieve the goals of local and regional companies. The position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Primarily responsible for establishing new business revenue through the sales of corporate partnerships and ticket packages.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and identifying opportunities for growth.
Travel to service areas to represent the company and achieve the assigned goals.
Performs outside sales/customer request responsibilities by in-person visits, telephone, mail and e-mail.
Ensure all contractual elements are fulfilled to ensure renewal and upselling capabilities for each partnership.
Prospect cold calls of local and regional companies to secure new business meetings.
Follow a defined and established departmental sales process, including conducting needs analysis meetings, developing and presenting effective proposals customized to meet each prospect’s needs and objectives, and negotiating and closing new business.
Identify local and national trends and emerging markets and adjust sales/service strategies accordingly.
Effectively present proposals in front of individuals and large groups.
Work closely with the Marketing Department to manage each corporate partnership, and to ensure that partners receive superior service and complete fulfillment and execution of all contractual elements.
Represent the club wit the utmost professionalism and integrity at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum two (2) years of sales experience with an emphasis in professional sports team and/or arena/stadium sponsorship sales; media sales experience a plus.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Power Point, Word and CRM.
Strong understanding of sales, marketing and integrated sponsorship programs.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Able to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings.
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Able to multi-task.
Demonstrate flexibility and creative problem-solving skills.
Possess excellent communication skills.
Ability to develop outstanding internal and external business relationships.
