The Kane County Cougars are looking for a Videographer to join our team! The Videographer will film game action on the field, fan experiences throughout the ballpark, on-field promotions, and other live events. The videographer will interact with fans while capturing engaging content for the Cougars’ social media platforms, including Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, and the team website.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Capture high-quality long and short form video content that demonstrates fan experience, game action, and on-field promotions.

  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment and have a quick turnaround.

  • Assist Media and Marketing Departments with capturing content for multiple platforms.

  • Assist Video Director in any additional video related needs (video editing, camera cleaning, etc).

  • Operate live play-by-play camera (as needed).

  • Capture photos in-game or at outside events (as needed).

  • Suggest social media postings from prior experience and pitch new/creative ideas for content.

  • Help organize and maintain library of videos for marketing sponsorship use.

  • Assist with various ballpark duties (I.e. tarping the field, moving camera equipment, assisting the Cougar Crew promotional team, etc.)

  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidates must provide their own camera and video equipment.

  • Proficient with DSLR camera operation with various lenses.

  • Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, After Effects etc.

  • Have a natural, creative eye for cinematic shots.

  • Very comfortable with fan interaction.

  • Quick hand-eye coordination and fast reflexes.

  • Quick thinker and problem solver.

  • Excellent customer service skills and professionalism when interacting with others.

  • Knowledge of the Cougars social media presence and the image exuded to fans.

  • Willingness to work as a member of a marketing team.

  • Creativity and knowledge of pop culture, sports teams’ social media habits, photography, sponsorship baseball, and the Cougars’ fan base.

  • Ability to multitask, take direction, actualize direction, and build upon it to become increasingly independent.

  • Hours will vary but will include evenings, weekends, holidays, game days, and non-game days if needed.

  • Work will be focused on game days. Our work environment is very physical, fast-paced and at times very stressful. The Videographer will be expected to be outside in the stadium and in the elements. The team typically plays rain or shine, cold or warm.

  • Have the ability to move up to 35 pounds.

  • Physically access all areas of the ballpark quickly and safely.
