The Kane County Cougars, a proud member of the American Association of Professional Baseball, are seeking a creative and motivated Photography Intern to join the team for the upcoming season. This internship offers hands-on experience capturing live sports action, fan engagement, and behind-the-scenes moments at a professional baseball stadium.

As the Photography Intern, you’ll play a key role in creating visual content used across team marketing channels, including social media, website, print materials, and in-stadium promotions. You’ll work closely with the marketing and media teams to help tell the story of Cougars Baseball through dynamic imagery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Capture high-quality photos that demonstrate fan experience, game action, on-field promotions, sponsor signage, and other duties as assigned to display on Cougars social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, Website, etc).

  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment and have a quick turnaround.

  • Suggest social media postings from prior experience and pitch new/creative ideas for content.

  • Capture photos in-game or outside events (as needed).

  • Capture video in-game or outside events (as needed).

  •  Interact with fans for in-game social media contests, on-field promotions, etc. while capturing content to display on Cougars social media accounts (Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads).

  • Collaborate with the media team to fulfill game day needs including but not limited to, pregame concerts, in-game entertainment, wide shots of Northwestern Medicine Field, fan shots, and game shots.

  • Perform quick edits to produce high quality images for immediate use.

  • Help organize and maintain library of photos for marketing sponsorship use

  • Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to multitask, take direction, actualize direction, and build upon it to become increasingly independent.

  • Follow scripted requirements from the marketing, sponsorship and promotions team.

  • Exude energy and excitement at all work functions to engage fans.

  • Reliability and dedication, excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to think on one’s feet, problem-solve and make decisions without direct supervision.

  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk the stairs for up to 6-8 hours.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including but not limited to days, nights, weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to extreme heat, cold and rain.
