JOB SUMMARY: The Kane County Cougars, a proud member of the American Association of Professional Baseball, are seeking Cleaning Crew members to join our team. Our Cleaning Crew plays a vital role in paying attention to detail while maintaining the cleanliness of the entire stadium. Time management is extremely important in this demanding, fast-paced work environment. This is a seasonal position (mid-April through mid-Oct) that includes but not limited to the following tasks to be performed on a daily gameday basis along with some non-game day events throughout the season.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Clean and maintain all areas of the facility including seating bowl area, concourse, Outfield Decks, Upper Deck Suite Level, Press Box, restrooms, Box Office, parking lot, Music Garden and KidZone. Cleaning includes sweeping, vacuuming and cleaning windows.
Sweep and pick up trash and continuously emptying garbage bins before, during and after games. Operate trash compactor.
Hose the seating bowl, concourse and Outfield Decks. Clean the inflatables in the KidZone
Maintain clean Front Office, Atrium, Security & First Aid Offices including restrooms, trash, vacuuming, mopping of floors and atrium stairs.
Participate in the organization’s commitment to safety by ensuring proper signage is on display in any wet areas, etc. Floors must be clear of any slip / trip hazards.
Clean and stock all restrooms with necessary supplies (soap, toilet paper, paper towels). This is done pre-game, during and post-game.
Replenish the sanitizer and sunscreen stations throughout the park, when needed.
Respond and resolve any cleaning issues promptly during the games.
Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Ability to understand and follow directions.
Ability to work cooperatively with others.
Ability to stand and walk for the entire length of shift.
Frequent reaching, twisting at the waist, bending, squatting, and climbing stairs.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Pushing and pulling equipment such as mops, brooms, trash containers, and hoses.
Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and trash compactors.
