America’s hottest music festival destination is finally getting the world-class arena it deserves.  Opening in the late 2022, the Coachella Valley Arena will provide the greater Palm Springs area of Southern California with a premiere 11,500+ seat venue to host the biggest artists and acts on the planet. Designed specifically for hockey and concerts, the new arena will provide top-tier hospitality, artist amenities, and all of the benefits of a modern music and sports venue.  In addition, the facility will serve as the new home of the American Hockey League affiliate of the Seattle Kraken.  
The Coachella Valley Arena is a $250+ million project that is being 100% privately funded through outstanding partners Oak View Group, Live Nation, and the NHL Seattle.

Position Summary:
The Vice President of Ticketing is a member of the senior management team for Oak View Group (OVG) at the Coachella Valley Arena as well as the American Hockey League affiliate team of the Seattle Kraken. The position is responsible for the planning and implementing ticketing strategy to maximize revenues and deliver positive customer experiences to all ticket buyers. The Vice President of Ticketing acts as liaison and works in collaboration with arena stakeholders to ensure brand alignment. 
  • Responsible for all operational facets of day-to-day ticket operations and sales for the Coachella Valley Arena and the American Hockey League affiliate of the Seattle Kraken
  • Oversee all financial reconciliation regarding daily reports, monthly reports and event settlements utilizing the Ticketmaster platform
  • Manage all information being sent and posted through ticketing system
  • Act as systems administrator for ticketing system and liaison between staff, team, promoters, presenters, and the facility
  • Prepare all ticketing reports for and work with tenants on system training and related premium ticketing services
  • Extract data for use in all sales initiatives
  • Communicate and work in collaboration with all arena and team departments on special projects, event planning, operational plans, and sales goals
  • Work directly with sales, marketing, and digital departments to increase revenue opportunities
  • Manage all box office staff with a focus on motivation, upselling opportunities, and high customer satisfaction
  • Update and relay all box-office related event information to each department and client
  • Investigate and resolve ticket-related issues
  • Responsible for season ticket renewal mailings, processing of season ticket monies and printing/mailing of season tickets (if applicable)
  • Responsible for the collection of all ticket monies, tracking of accounts payable/receivable and preparation of sales reports/ticket revenue updates 
  • Work with sales reports/ticket revenue updates
  • Oversee will call for all ticketed events, ensuring compliance to all relevant ticket laws
  • Process/fill approved charity ticket requests; document all complimentary tickets issued
  • Track attendance for all events, including pre-sales, walk-ups, promotions, discounts, etc.
  • Manage Premium Seating products and deliverables
  • Manage of all aspects of customer service as it relates to both internal and external customers
  • Direct the creation and control of fiscal budget for the Box Office department
  • Analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of organizational objectives
  • Exercise confidentiality and integrity upon handling customer personal/financial information
  • Complete all duties with a customer service focus through teamwork
  • Exceptional experience in leading, motivating and developing employees
  • A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first
  • Strong ability to support creative ideation to enhance brand equity while supporting company culture, values and objectives
  • Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business management, sports management, business administration or other related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible box office/ticketing experience, preferable with a sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility or other multi-purpose public assembly facility
  • Direct experience with Ticketmaster ticketing system
  • Knowledge of operational characteristics, services and activities of stadium, arena, public assembly facility or convention center sales programs
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, graphic design, PowerPoint, and Internet software
  • Knowledge of terminology used in box office/sales settings
  • Knowledge of principles of budget preparation and control 
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended number of days
Working Conditions:
  • Minimal Travel (<20% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required
  • Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building
