Overview

This Zamboni Driver position is responsible for ice rink maintenance, proper safe operation of the ice resurfacer (Zamboni) and any other ice maintenance related to all areas of the facility.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00-$19.00

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Zamboni during ice-related events to maintain professional ice rink standards.
  • Perform general physical labor associated with set up and break down for events i.e. Zamboni operation, ice install, ice maintenance, glass repair, and rink repair.
  • Make repairs as directed by the supervisor on duty.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience driving a Zamboni machine preferred.
  • Prior experience with ice maintenance preferred.
  • Previous ice facility operations experience preferred.
  • A strong communicator: be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in written format to management and staff as well as to all types of clients
  • Organized, able to prioritize, and have strong time management skills
  • Able to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and service oriented.
  • Strong orientation to customer service and ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
