Overview
The Warehouse Lead works with warehouse associates to prepare and move merchandise according to established safety, performance and accuracy standards. The Warehouse Lead maintains and verifies documentation to facilitate the flow of merchandise through the distribution center. Their performance directly impacts overall safety, cost and service metrics.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $17.20-$21.50 (per CBA).
Benefits are per the union agreement.
This position will remain open until June 26, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Ensures appropriate functions, duties and procedures are performed.
- Receives, unloads, moves and loads merchandise.
- Verifies correct counts of items received and notes discrepancies or damages.
- Issues and delivers items to the proper destination and obtains signatures to document delivery/receipt.
- Maintains proper storage of inventory merchandise to avoid spills or spoilage; rotates stock according to schedule.
- Maintains work area in a safe and proper manner; reports any unsafe and/or hazardous conditions.
- Manages and maintains stock control; plans future needs and adjusting par levels, processes stock order review orders, controls dead stock and maintains scheduling of deliveries on dock.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma/GED.
- Must have sufficient math ability to accurately add, subtract, divide, multiply and perform other basic business math calculations.
- Must speak, be able to read and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisor’s and employees.
- Understand written and oral direction and communicate effectively with others.
- Two (2) years warehouse experience with previous electric pallet jack experience.
- Must possess good organizational skills.
- Must have ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
- Ability to work closely with others.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, sense of urgency.
- Must have a pleasant personality and adhere to Uniform Standards policy.
- Must be able to work various shifts and hours to include holidays and weekends.
- Ability to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions.
- Must be able to obtain or Possess valid SNHD food handling card, Alcohol Awareness or equivalent.
- Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule may include nights, weekends, and holidays as needed based on the event schedules and business needs.
- This role may involve performing physical labor and operational tasks in outdoor environments, regardless of weather conditions.
- The position requires adaptability, endurance, and a commitment to safety while working in both high-heat and cold-weather settings.
