Overview
The Ticket Taker plays a key role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience. This position is responsible for greeting guests, scanning or collecting tickets, verifying event access, and providing information in a professional and friendly manner. Exceptional customer service and attention to detail are essential to create a safe, welcoming, and efficient entry process for all patrons.
This is a casual role from November 18, 2025 and will end on April 30, 2026
This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.35 CAD
This position will remain open until April 30, 2026
Responsibilities
- Greet guests upon arrival and ensure a welcoming first impression.
- Verify and scan tickets accurately using handheld devices or manual methods to ensure proper entry.
- Direct guests to their appropriate seating locations and provide facility and event information as needed.
- Become familiar with ticketing systems and procedures, seating maps, building policies, and emergency procedures.
- Work collaboratively with Event Security to manage crowds and assist with entry flow as required.
- Monitor for unauthorized entry, counterfeit tickets, or potential safety concerns.
- Provide clear, courteous, and accurate responses to patron inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and to be available for a minimum of 75% of scheduled events (including hockey games, live shows, and special events) or as scheduled.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in high-volume situations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts and work in a fast-paced environment.
