Overview

The Tennis Instructor will be responsible for the coaching and training of registrants in our tennis program. This role will report directly to the Tennis Director and will primarily be scheduled during junior tennis programming hours (evenings and weekends).

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.00 - $20.00 CAD.

Benefits for Part-Time roles: Pension matching. 

This position will remain open until December 11, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and delivery of high-quality and safe tennis programs for all levels of junior participants.
• Primarily support the on-court instruction of youth tennis players.
• Keep current with tennis industry trends and best practices for instruction.
• Identify and evaluate customers’ needs and respond proactively.
• Ensure strong participant retention rates and strive to grow junior tennis program participation.

Qualifications

• Tennis coaching/instructional experience is highly preferred.
• Tennis Professionals Association (TPA) certifications are considered an asset.
• First Aid and CPR/AED, police vulnerable sector check required.
• Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
• Ability to be detail-oriented, multitask, and effectively prioritized in a continuously changing environment.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Guest-oriented and service-minded.
