Overview
The Technical Crew Member is responsible for supporting behind-the-scenes operations of shows and events at the Plaza Theatre. This role reports to the Technical Director and includes hands-on work with lighting, sound, scenery, and projection equipment.
This role pays an hourly rate of $25.00

Responsibilities
- Assist with load-in, setup, and strike of productions and events.
- Operate and/or assist with lighting, sound, projection, and stage equipment during rehearsals and performances.
- Maintain backstage areas, tools, and equipment in safe and working conditions.
- Follow cues and instructions from stage management and technical directors.
- Uphold safety protocols and support a clean, organized workspace.
- Provide friendly and professional support to visiting artists and production teams.
- Report to and assist the technical crew leads and event staff during event operation and rehearsals.
- Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous technical theatre experience is preferred but not required — training available for the right candidate.
- Basic knowledge of stagecraft, lighting, sound, or projection is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. and work on ladders when needed.
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
