Overview
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Suites Associate, where you'll play a dual role in delivering exceptional guest experiences in our premium suites. This position blends the responsibilities of Suite Hosts and Runners, requiring strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced event environment.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.20 to $17.75 CAD and is tip eligible (per CBA).
Benefits as per the union agreement.
This position will remain open until November 7, 2025.
Responsibilities
Setup, Support & Logistics
- Participate in pre-shift meetings and review delivery lists
- Set up suites and food/beverage stations with required supplies and presentation standards
- Maintain inventory and cleanliness of all service areas, including pantry and staging zones
- Deliver cold food, sauces, popcorn, and chafing pans to suites
- Restock ice, beverages, and dry goods as needed
- Assist bartenders and hosts with setup and restocking during events
- Safely handle and move objects up to 30 lbs (frequently up to 15 lbs)
- Maintain AGCO licensing and building policy standards at all service stations
Guest Service & Food Delivery
- Provide fine dining-level food and beverage service consistent with Tribute Communities Centre standards
- Read and interpret Event Orders accurately
- Carry and serve drinks and entrées per tray with precision and care
- Greet guests warmly and maintain professional, friendly contact throughout the event
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns
- Present final bills and assist with payment procedures
- Respond to guest inquiries and minor complaints with professionalism
Event Closure & Clean-Up
- Collect and return dirty dishes to the kitchen
- Store empty alcohol bottles and tidy garbage areas
- Sweep, mop, and sanitize pantry and service zones
- Restock supplies and prepare stations for the next event
- Complete opening/closing checklists and submit to supervisor
Qualifications
- Smart Serve certification is required
- Ability to work independently during slower periods
- Strong multitasking and time management abilities
- Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy and completeness of tasks
- Comfortable with high levels of social interaction and teamwork
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks (bend, stretch, twist, reach)
- Basic arithmetic skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Punctual with consistent attendance
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and select holidays
