Overview
Responsible for assisting with the assembling, disassembling, and maintenance of stages during theater productions. Provides assistance backstage before, during and directly after productions for a variety of technical needs. Helps setting up and testing sound, lighting, and other equipment according to set requirements. Follows technical directors’ instructions, assisting performers backstage and making adjustments to sets.
This role will pay an hourly wage of $14 to $18.00.

Responsibilities
Keeping stage clean by sweeping between performances and removing any waste. Building sets and performing a variety of backstage and maintenance tasks. Assembling equipment and support structures and breaking them down when the show is over. Inspecting lighting, sound, and other equipment. Ensuring that everything is plugged into the correct power source, functioning properly, and storing appropriately at the end of an event. Assisting performers with wardrobe changes and other miscellaneous tasks. Running errands when required and constantly expanding skillset.
Qualifications
-Experience with carpentry, electronics and construction -Excellent stamina and strength
-Ability to collaborate with others and take direction -Willingness to work after hours and meet deadlines -Ability to focus under pressure
