Overview
Stage managers facilitate communication across all creative and technical departments; act as a right hand to the director; oversee sets, props, lights, and sound; and call all technical cues during performances.
This role has a salary of $55,000 - $70,000

Responsibilities
- Manages and coordinates rehearsals and performances for events
- Directs load-in and strike of sets, lights, sound; and call and maintain show.
- Responsible for obtaining lessee requirements for physical set-up, security, ticketing, audio/visual, etc.
- Communicate needs to appropriate departments for events assigned.
- Will serve as technical supervisor for the entire facility.
- Oversee operations, contractors, and concessionaires, to ensure requirements are addressed and met.
- Initiate required paperwork for all events which would include knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel software programs.
- Act as “point-person” for outside promoters, while adhering to appropriate internal policies, procedures, documentation requirements, etc.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or G.E.D. required, degree in theater or public facility management a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in event management, public relations, promotions, or related experience preferred.
- Audio and theatrical technical experience including rigging, fly and counterweight systems, all aspects of lighting and programming and stagecraft.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills necessary.
- Supervisory experience helpful.
- Must be willing and available to do day work across all crew positions, including Lighting, Sound, Prop- making, Set repair, etc.
- Position requires a flexible schedule based on events with primarily evening and weekend hours.
- A person must be able to climb stairs and walk long distances.
