Overview
The Skating Instructor 1 position is responsible for teaching skating skills in groups, support company or facility events, and promote Ice & Field while embodying the venue and OVG's values and mission.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00-$19.00.

This position will remain open until December 26, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Assist and instruct classes in formats including Learn-to-Skate, community classes, and facility programs, under the direction of senior staff.
- Teach foundational skills by following the Learn-to-Skate curriculum.
- Support facility shows, competitions, and camps through class assistance and basic production tasks.
- Provide positive, constructive feedback when evaluating skaters at beginner levels.
- Communicate program information to families and promote company values in a welcoming and professional manner.
- Recommend advancement for skaters within the Learn-to-Skate curriculum.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of coaching or skating instruction experience.
- Competitive skating, show experience, or prior coaching background preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Learn-to-Skate USA and U.S. Figure Skating.
- Actively pursuing professional development within the sport.

- Professional, enthusiastic teaching style with effective time management.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
