Overview

As a Senior Financial Analyst for the corporate finance team, this individual will conduct operational and financial analysis for Oak View Group.  Key responsibilities include the consolidation and analysis of unit and corporate level planning and forecasting, timely and accurate financial reporting for internal and external use, and supporting cross-functional teams’ requests as needed. Additional responsibilities will include direct involvement with the annual planning and monthly forecasting process.

 

This role pays an annual salary of $95,000-$110,000.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly forecasted reports including P&L summaries by region.
  • Interact with regional and divisional leadership.
  • Monitor and analyze expense and revenue trends, as well as key performance indicators.
  • Assist in the management and evaluation of monthly and quarterly budget analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain financial reports for the senior management team to use as a tool in identifying and focusing on opportunities and risks of immediate and/or future concern.
  • Prepare monthly operations review presentation.
  • Update reporting templates and functionality as necessary.
  • Perform ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed.
  • Assume responsibilities on special projects as identified.
  • Assist with annual budget process.
  • Assist with long range planning process.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience in accounting working preferably within the hospitality industry segment.
  • Strong experience in finance, accounting, contracts, budgets and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and financial reporting systems. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
  • Highest level of integrity, honesty to report to executives in an open and unbiased manner.
  • Demonstrated experience with handling and maintaining highly confidential information in a discreet manner without breach of confidentiality.
  • Strong intellectual capacity, critical and analytical thinker; possesses a fact-based approach to the analysis of business problems and opportunities.
  • Displays executive presence, seasoning and maturity.
  • Verifiable track record of assisting business and finance leaders in understanding and improving cost structures, increasing profitability, and capitalizing on growth opportunities in the marketplace.
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills with ability to present financial information in both verbal and written formats to all levels of management.
  • Prior experience successfully leveraging forward-looking risk mitigation strategies and tactics.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail.
  • Strong systems aptitude and proficiency, including expert Excel skills. Proficiency in other Microsoft Office and accounting/financial reporting systems such as Oracle and Net Suite are strongly preferred.
