Overview

Responsible for creating one of the most important initiatives for the new Hamilton Arena, the Senior Brand Manager will develop and initiate the overall brand strategy for the new arena.  This program will be the epicenter of Hamilton Arena’s reputation within the industry. Everyone that comes through the venue from artists, fans, patrons, and staff should leave feeling they received top-notch and world- class experience. The Senior Brand Manager will also have day-to-day oversight of event-related marketing, promotions, and advertising functions designed to sell tickets and build the new arena’s brand. The position will be responsible for crafting the social voice of the arena while taking on the responsibility of creating, scheduling, and planning for all social media platforms and will actively participate in venue branding, community relations, and publicity efforts in conjunction with other members of the marketing, sales, ticket, and arena programming.

 

This role will pay a salary of $107,000 to $110,000.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of a high-impact brand for the new arena and complex.
  • Work with marketing and communications team to draft talking points and content that support the venue’s brand.
  • Oversee the creation of content (e.g., collateral, videos, templates ) to promote the venue to fans, concertgoers, industry leaders, promoters, etc.
  • Work in conjunction with other members of the venue’s marketing team to effectively communicate and promote events through venue assets, event sponsorships, promotional partnerships, community efforts, media partners, trade partnerships and group marketing campaigns on a show-by-show basis.
  • Manages and supervises backstage experiences during events to ensure client satisfaction and quality control while upholding the venue’s reputation for world-class hospitality.
  • Responsible for generating innovative and unique ideas for artist/promoter/agent gifts while curating unique experiences authentic to the venue and Hamilton.
  • Coordinate with house photographer for all shows and submit event and concert images to industry publications.
  • Serve as hospitality manager on event days for Promoters, Agents and other guests, as directed.
  • Serve as on-site marketing department representative for designated events (e.g. duties may include media escorting, sponsor and/or promotional partner implementation, media partner implementation, social media coverage, etc.).
  • Manage social media initiatives, content creation and strategy and serve as the voice of the new arena across multiple platforms.
  • Complete graphic design responsibilities as needed by the marketing, booking and sales departments.
  • Stay on top of the latest social media trends, adding new platforms in response to the market.
  • Other duties as assigned by upper management.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 to 7 years of related work experience.
  • Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts, edit and proofread marketing material.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative and driven, be able to ideate and execute on unique marketing opportunities.
  • Passion for music and having that passion be transmitted through venue assets.
  • A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first.
  • Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator.

 

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an accredited university, Area of Study: Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or Related Field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with large-scale events in a stadium or concert setting of a similar size (15,000 seats) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator and Word Press.
