Overview
This position is responsible for uniformed security and non-general public parking, EMS fire and safety and emergency procedures. Evaluates existing policies and procedures and makes recommendations for improvement regarding safety awareness. Coordinates with management regarding incidents including damage/injury to facility or patrons. All security-related staff report to the Security Manager. This position is also responsible for maintaining staffed fire panel monitors. Serves as Event manager as needed.
This position has a salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Hires and trains roster and part time benefited security staff. Schedules, assigns and supervises security event staff and fire panel monitor.
- Assures the safety of patrons, arena staff and visiting Artist, clients and dignitaries.
- Audits situations of concern, at times placing self in positions that may be of risk.
- Develops and coordinates safety training programs for regular and part-time employees to increase awareness of and maintain records as necessary.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with police, fire, EMS and other security personnel and/or safety organizations at the city state and federal levels. Also develops relationships with the City Manager and other elected officials.
- Investigates, reports and provides follow-up on incidents of damage/injury to the facility or individuals.
- Evaluates existing policies and procedures and makes recommendations for improvement and safety awareness.
- Communicates and reviews plans with various facility personnel for functions required to establish a safe and efficient environment for hosting facility events.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, High School Diploma or G.E.D. with related experience.
- 4-6 years in Security Management, 2-3 years in managing people.
- Driver’s License
- Microsoft Office proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with 2-way radios
- Teamwork oriented and positive attitude to welcome guests
- Knowledge of security monitoring systems.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with divisions within the facility, contracted services and clientele.
- Maintain knowledge of current trends in security practices and systems for entertainment venues.
