Overview

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the event day sanitation requirements and Board of Health inspections of all food & beverage locations at the ballpark, including concession stands, bars, portables, kitchen, and warehouse. The Sanitation Supervisor must be personable and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The Sanitation Supervisor will assist the Department Managers and the rest of the OVG leadership team with ensuring compliance with regulations, maintaining cleanliness, training employees, and prioritizing food and facility safety. 

 

This role will pay an hourly rate of $18.00-$20.00

Responsibilities

  • The Sanitation Supervisor must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

  • Manage sanitation operations by supervising and actively participating in event day cleaning, sanitizing, and pest control management.

  • Conduct regular inspections and assessments of sanitation conditions, identify areas for improvement, take immediate corrective actions, and report findings to management.

  • Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise by leading by example in maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards before, during and after each event.

  • Training new & current employees regarding property procedures & best practices regarding facility maintenance.

  • Ensure the work environment is safe by immediately addressing all safety concerns, potential hazards, accidents or incidents. Relays safety/health issues to management immediately.

  • Ensure that the location equipment is operable and clean prior to the start of the event.

  • Enforces all company policies and procedures.

  • Oversee the inventory of sanitation supplies, equipment, and chemicals, ensuring their availability, proper storage, and efficient usage.

  • All other duties as assigned by the managers and supervisors.

Qualifications

  • At Least 1-2 years’ experience working in a supervisory capacity in a sanitation environment.
  • Ability to supervise the work of others.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Detailed-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. 
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform hands-on duties that may involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
