Overview

We are seeking a motivated and highly organized Restaurant Supervisor to join our team! In this hands-on management position, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting our service team, and ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a knack for problem-solving, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 

This role pays an hourly rate of $25.00-$28.00

Responsibilities

  • Floor Operations: Run the floor during service by managing staffing levels, interacting with members, addressing member disputes, is quick to observe and address overlooked issues and making real-time staffing adjustments (sending people home or calling people in as needed).
  • Hands-On Support: Actively assist on the floor during busy shifts; particularly for larger member events, and provide support to service staff where needed.
  • Daily Service Reports: Accurately complete daily service reports to track revenue, staff performance, food quality and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Communication With Kitchen: Coordinate with chefs to ensure daily specials are communicated clearly to the service team. Maintain an up-to-date staff information board with important service information. Works closely with the chefs during meal periods to ensure smooth operations and to resolve any concerns that arise during service.
  • Pre-Shifts: Lead pre-shift meetings to prepare staff for service, ensuring everyone is aligned on daily specials, expectations, and any special needs for the shift.
  • Dining Credits Tracker: Update and maintain the member dining credits tracker, maintaining the integrity and precision of member account records.
  • POS Management: Manager access on POS stations to handle special requests (tax exemptions, voids, service charge removals), troubleshoot and resolve computer-related issues.
  • Tech Support: Learn and troubleshoot issues with the POS system and printers. Contact IT support as necessary to resolve technical issues quickly and minimize service disruptions.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 year's of proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff, chefs, members and guests.
  • Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment; while organizing time management.
  • Basic technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues with POS systems and printers.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages) as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation and product inventory.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions in real-time.
  • Availability for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
