Overview
The Reception position represents FirstOntario Concert Hall as initial contact for prospective clients and the general public both on the phone and in person. Receptionist will also assist guests with event information and/or route necessary calls to appropriate personnel. Responsible for stage door/mail run.
This role pays an hourly rate of $18.70-$18.74 CAD

Responsibilities
- Assist with guest or client questions as needed
- Create and distribute weekly/monthly schedule for surrounding community from Event Booking software
- Log incoming checks
- File pay checks/distribute on payday
- Manage lost and found
- Collect, distribute and log employment applications
- Create directional signage for events
- Maintain booking confirmation binder
- Perform filing or other office related work
- Collects and input all Guest Services availability sheets
- Courteously receive, screen and direct all in-bound calls, emails, and visitors to FirstOntario Concert Hall.
- Maintain a professional image and demeanor with all employees, management, executives and visitors at all times.
- Responsible for signing guests in/out and issuing guest badges.
- Submit weekly timesheets for payroll
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School diploma or College diploma preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in office reception or a similar field
- The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with strong interpersonal and team skills.
- Ability to work independently and remain flexible in role
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
- Ability to multi task
- Exceptional customer service skills—outgoing and friendly personality required
- General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
