Overview

We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Projectionist to join our technical team. This individual will operate and maintain the theatre’s projection and audio-visual systems, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience for all screenings and events.

This role pays an hourly rate of $25.00

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor digital and/or film projection equipment for screenings, performances, and special events.
• Manage sound and lighting cues related to film or multimedia presentations.
• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of projection and AV equipment.
• Collaborate with stage management, technical staff, and event coordinators to ensure smooth show operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and equipment-handling guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service to visiting filmmakers, production crews, and special guests.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a projectionist (digital and/or film) strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of modern digital cinema systems (DCP), playback software, and sound systems.
• Basic understanding of lighting and stage technology a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
