Overview
Supports the festival’s production team with all aspects of build, show, and strike. Assists with site/load-in logistics, stage/backline needs, vendor/catering/credential coordination, radio and signage distribution, and general crew support to ensure shows start on time, safely, and to spec.
This is a seasonal role from September 23, 2025 and will end on January 23, 2026.
This role pays an daily rate of $700.00
This position will remain open until December 26, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Assist with load-in/load-out: staging, barricade, ADA platforms, signage, fencing, power runs, cable ramps, and lighting/audio placements as directed.
- Support stage & backline: set changeovers, mic stands, power drops, patch lists, stage plots/input lists, riser moves, and backline swaps.
- Handle site ops: distribute radios & batteries, post wayfinding and safety signage, stock water/ice, maintain back-of-house (BOH) and green rooms.
- Credentials & check-in: help issue wristbands/passes, verify access levels, and maintain accurate logs.
- Vendor/crew liaison: meet deliveries, escort vendors to locations, and coordinate with security, medical, sanitation, and FOH teams.
- Maintain H&S compliance: follow PPE requirements, keep work areas clear, report hazards/incidents, and support emergency procedures.
- Track inventories: radios, coms headsets, gaff/zip, expendables, backline items; note losses/damages.
- Keep documentation up to date: run-of-show, production schedules, sheet updates, and end-of-day reports.
- Provide flexible support to Production Manager/Coordinator/Stage Manager as needs shift throughout the event.
Qualifications
- 1+ year live event/production experience (festival, touring, venue, theater) preferred.
- Working knowledge of audio/lighting/backline basics and stage changeover flow.
- Comfortable with manual labor: lifting 50+ lbs, climbing stairs, pushing cases, outdoor work in all weather.
- Strong communication on radio (clear, concise, uses proper call signs) and in person; calm under pressure.
- Detail-oriented and reliable: on time, follows direction, closes loops, maintains tidy workspaces.
- Proficient with Google Workspace/Microsoft Office; can read stage plots, input lists, run sheets.
- Schedule flexibility: long shifts, weekends, nights, overtime as needed.
- Valid ID; ability to pass background check if required. Forklift/scissor lift cert, first aid/CPR, and driver’s license a plus.
