Overview
The Production Crew Member performs technical work in the coordination and operation of sound equipment for events and performances. Analyzes facts to determine proper course of action essential to providing desired sound reinforcement. Also provides for the audio visual, stage lighting, closed circuit television and general needs of user of the facility.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $18.00 to $23.00

Responsibilities
- Supports operation maintenance and repair of more advanced complex technical production equipment.
- Supports PC's. Supports both WIFI internet technical support for in-house staff, promoters, vendors as well as ticketed audience/fans attending events.
- Sets up sound equipment for conventions, concerts, operas, speeches, plays and a variety of other events.
- Sets up and adjusts video projector, video monitor, video recorders.
- Selects proper microphones, including wireless microphones, speaker systems, mixing and amplifying equipment and other sound equipment for events.
- Maintains recently updated equipment and makes technical recommendations for improvements as required.
- Does preventative maintenance and repairs on sound equipment.
- Exhibits thorough knowledge of test equipment and procedures related to audio including familiarity with real-time analyzers, impedance bridges, VOMs, distortion analyzers, etc.
- Obtains and utilizes thorough knowledge of music and exhibits considerable ability in identifying instruments by sound alone.
- Must be flexible to work Weekends, Holidays, and Nights.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High School or GED.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of related production support experience. - Procificency in the operation and analyzing of various types of audio visual equipment including but not limited to closed circuit television, video projectors, monitors and recorders, mixing and amplification equipment, speaker systems and LED system.
- Ability to coordinate use of modems and wifi equipment and service between building and contracted vendor, including on site troubleshooting.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Endurance for standing or walking for extended periods, use of hand and arms to reach, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- Vision abilities required include near vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus to customer needs.
- Must be able to operate office equipment, two way radio, specialized computer equipment and programs.
- Must be flexible to work Weekends, Holidays, and Nights.
