Overview
Key department head and advisor to Director of Operations for all technical stage aspects including electrics, audio, fly-rail, crewing, logistics and preventive maintenance for all stage systems, personnel and equipment.
This role has a wage of $ $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

Responsibilities
- Coordinate with licensee all pre-performance technical requirements.
- Oversee load-ins, set ups, show runs, and loadouts for all shows at the Convention Center, Civil Center, and Theater.
- Coordinate all backstage logistics for shows with local Stage Employees Union business representative.
- Maintain a professional and cordial relationship with local representatives.
- Prepare and coordinate with the event manager all “back of house” event information.
- Coordinate “front of house” details for specified events.
- Prepare the event estimate and update the client and event file with changes in the estimate.
- Review and process stage employee union payroll.
- Supervise a preventative maintenance program for all light, sound, and backstage equipment.
- Recommend capital purchases or improvements to the Director of Operations
- Provide for the training, safe working conditions and welfare of stage employees in accordance with Oak View Group policies, union guidelines and applicable EEO and OSHA regulations.
- Serve as Event Manager on Duty (MOD) as required.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree in Theater with technical emphasis or professional equivalence
- 3-year minimum experience working in a performing arts center/theater
- 2-year minimum experience in public facility management, promotion, or operation of conventions or trade shows or service-related operation whose primary function is to provide direct on-site service to the public
- Knowledge of operations, maintenance, and stage management
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills are required.
- Strong organizational and personnel management skills required.
- Understand and work from general instructions, specifications, blueprints, sketches, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Good computer skills required.
- Working knowledge of applicable OSHA, state and other work environment and safety regulations
- Working knowledge of fire and public safety issues
- Ability to train, plan, assign, and direct work and motivate union stage personnel and front-of-house personnel.
- Ability to prepare, analyze and operate within Department Budget
- Ability to work flexible and extensive hours, including holidays and weekends, based on events.
- Involves walking, standing, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs. May include manual labor, moderate lifting and/or arduous working conditions; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Position is not substantially exposed to adverse conditions.
