Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Pizza Cook with at least 5 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traditional and modern pizza preparation, dough handling, and oven operation. This position plays a critical role in ensuring consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work an event driven schedule including nights and weekends per business needs.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $20.74- $31.00. (per CBA).
Benefits as per the union agreement.
This position will remain open until September 1, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of pizzas using both classic and creative recipes
- Make fresh dough, sauces, and toppings daily
- Operate wood-fired, brick, or conveyor ovens with precision
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation per SNHD guidlines
- Work efficiently in a high-volume environment while maintaining quality
- Monitor ingredient stock and assist with inventory and ordering
- Collaborate with the kitchen team and management to improve recipes and service
- Train and mentor junior staff as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Pizza Cook or similar role
- Proven skills in dough making, hand stretching, and topping preparation
- Knowledge of various pizza styles (e.g., Neapolitan, New York, Sicilian)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Possess valid SNHD food handling card
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary training or certification
- Experience with specialty diets (e.g., gluten-free, vegan options)
- Passion for high-quality ingredients and customer service
