Overview
The Payroll Coordinator position is responsible for assisting the payroll manager with payroll processing duties in a fast-paced environment. Completes high quality data entry; meets process deadlines; adheres to defined process tasks; demonstrates attention to detail; and timely communicates risk. Demonstrates the ability to develop broad and deep payroll and systems expertise and deliver accurate and timely employee payments. Utilizes others for instruction, guidance and direction. Develops competence in own area by performing routine work.
This role pays an hourly rate of $25.25-$31.25

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service and support to payroll functions for the facility.
- Collects detailed information from all departments such as time off requests and time adjustment forms.
- Process employee timecard data.
- Reviews payroll registers for assigned departments to ensure that all time entry data has been prepared for processing.
- Receives and enters adjustments to on-cycle payroll process for assigned departments.
- Assist with uploading of files for new hires and employee changes.
- Audit Employee Deduction changes.
- Maintains the accuracy and integrity of the payroll system by carefully reviewing all entries made and remaining aware of their impact on the payroll process.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding associates' personal information and payroll data at all times.
- Create and audit reports required by local Collective Bargaining Agreements.
- Assist in developing audit tools to clean up data while protecting the data integrity of the payroll system.
- Assist in documenting all payroll processes and procedures.
- Serve as back up for processing of building/additional team payrolls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other related field preferred, Associates Degree required.
- 1-3 years of payroll experience.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines with accuracy.
- Proven ability to multi-task.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn systems and processes.
